These three characters have been confirmed for the new highly anticipated game Sonic Riders. The green bird is Jet the hawk, the purple bird is Wave the Swallow, and the grey bird is Storm the Albatross. Here's the official website: [link]

I just thought I would draw the three new bird characters and see how they turn out. I made it as a different style with the colored outlines of each character's body. I try to make it a movie poster group picture effect. I decided to color lightly and smoothly for this picture. By the looks of the game, it seems like most of the Sonic fan community are very excited. They even made their own fancharacters into Sonic Riders style with the shading, coloring, the goggles, the outfits and even with some boards which I find this interesting. I would like to do this with Sarah the hedgehog, my character one of these days.

The group Babylon Rogues I find are interesting. I can see some patterns with each character like all three bird characters have similiar stripes on their arms like Shadow the hedgehog. Wave has eyes like Rouge the bat and hair tip designs and similiar colors as Blaze the cat, Storm has the body structure and gloves of Big the cat and the hair tip designs like Blaze the cat, and Jet's character design has a mix of Sonic the hedgehog, Bean the dynamite duck, Blaze the cat and Shadow the hedgehog. I'm not saying they're rip-offs of any character, I'm just saying that it's interesting that there are similar traits on the new characters as the older ones we know and like.

I'm surprised that Sega would make Wave surpass Dr. Eggman and Tails' machinical skills! Imagine how those two would react to Wave's talents. Though I think it's awesome to add a female character as a genius. GIRL POWER! Boys rock too.

I REALLY hope that Jet's voice won't turn out to sound like Usopp from the One Piece anime english dub once the game comes out in the U.S. I hope they have a decent voice for Jet. His japanese voice in the japanese trailer sounded much better than his voice in the english Sonic Riders trailer.

According to the character profiles, Storm has the tendency to stutter when he's flustered. I wonder what he would sound like and what his dialouge would be... I hope he doesn't sound like one of those One Piece english 4Kids dub characters that yell whatever they say in their dialouge. I also hope he doesn't sound stupid. I really don't like it when creators put the big, tough heavy guy characters in a cartoon or videogame to the stupid category. Storm seems like a pretty cool guy. I think all three of them are cool.
