Raise your hand if you saw THIS coming with that prompt title...

EVERYTIME I see Shadow the hedgehog from artwork to character descriptions, I see he's been picked on as an ANGSTY, EMO hedgehog. If Shadow is in a parody, they have him labeled emo. Yet I don't find it funny at all. (I take back what I said eariler..) Depression and cutting aren't funny at all, they are serious issues.

THE UNFUNNY JOKE IS GETTING OLD PEOPLE!

Just because Shadow was depressed at times in the past Sonic games, doesn't mean he cuts himself. Do you see Shadow taking a knife and cutting himself? NO. Besides, he knows better than that and he is better than what some Sonic fans make him as, an stereotypical emo.

Shadow's rant shows also how sick and tired I am of seeing Shadow labeled emo. The drawing (random fanart) of Shadow crying was an example of some Sonic fans see him as which is fine, because it's their opinion and I respect that. I overexagerated on his pouty face to state my point.

About the Sonic Archie mentioned in this comic, if you have read in the saga when Shadow took over as King of Mobius and Maria was worshipped as a goddess in some time mess-up, the writers RUINED Sonic's character completely. All they had Sonic do was cry and whine about wanting his family and Sally back and did nothing else. He just SAT there in a broken down place, whereas what Sonic would REALLY do is take action. That issue was so terrible that I never bought it. I just read it at a bookstore.

I'm NOT saying "OMG HOW CAN U HATE SHADOW U SUX!!11," nor is it an anti-anti Shadow picture.

I still like Shadow. Though his new 4Kids monotone voice made me less interested in him... Maybe if I play SA2 and Sonic Heroes, my interest will come back since I LOVE his David Humphrey voice.

Getting back to the comic, this is both my expression of how annoyed I am about people putting Shadow in an overdone joke and a satire of the overdone joke.
