This is a result of watching too much Spongebob. 
If you have at least watched the Spongebob episode Idiot Box, you would get the joke. Only this is the Genius Box instead! Isn't he adorable? 
No the rainbow is not as in he's gay. Although we don't know if he is or not. But to be safe, probably not.. It's the IMAGIINAAATION rainbow!
I picked Mr. Hal Gibson for this prompt. I thought I would have him before he was made into a robot monkey like when he was a child. Otherwise if it were in the present it would be out of character for him. I picked him also because his english voiceactor is the same guy who does Spongebob. (Tom Kenny FTW
)
And yes, the monkeys from Shuggazoom do have four fingers.
