It's true. Change happens...it's part of life and we all have to be flexible about it whether we see it good or bad. The introduction of the new game Shadow the hedgehog had made a HUGE impact to all Sonic fans and it may be one of the biggest changes ever in Sonic History since the Sonic videogames turned 3D. Some people are afraid of change...and even at least half of the people that are afraid of change tend to make immature comments about it and even give up liking what they once enjoyed. This comic is a satire based on all that with my point of view. I know that not everybody likes Shadow as well as any other character, and/or the idea of the game, and I'm not labeling anybody against the idea. I respect your opinions, and I'm not saying that all those that dislike Shadow are immature or stupid, they just have different views of him, and I am okay with that.
When I went to a site where I always used to go to called Sonic Stadium, I read some of the news and was shocked at the immaturity this has. [link] [link] The webmaster labeled Shadow fans as n00bs, and THAT is where I drew the line and wrote this rant. [link] I did this as a satire on how some of those change-a-phobics react on just one new game that is Sonic related, but doesn't star Sonic. I made the human designs simple, just to show that this is not a serious comic. You know how anime always had these chibi or deformed versions of each character and their expressions? That's what I did here. I need to work on drawing humans.  Anyway, the story all takes place at a Sonic convention where Sega introduces new Sonic titles that will come sometime in the future. All of the change-a-phobics were psyched about the new Sonic titles that mainly star Sonic...until a shadowy hero steps in. He interrupts the announcements and announced that he will star in a brand new game. As soon as the change-a-phobics stared in shock they also noticed that Shadow has a gun....thus brought to a hysteria. You wouldn't BELIEVE what I heard those change-a-phobics just said...They said things like: SHADOW?!?!? STARING IN A NEW GAME? OMG SOMEBODY KILL ME NOW!!! WE'RE ALL ABOUT TO SUFFER111!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! It's amazing how so many people like that overreact to one game that is Sonic related, but the game doesn't star Sonic. Anyway, in the end, Shadow is like:  ....Ooo..kaaay. Sonic gets angry at Shadow for ruining the convention saying: "You HAD to bring that up." I love Shadow's expression at the end.    Shadow didn't know what to say out of this situation so he just said "Erm...Wrong convention? o_o;;; ) This satire never meant to insult anyone. This is just poking fun on the subject. Im a "hardcore" shadow fan myself and I was a bit questionable about the game when I first heard about it. But I now know that the gun is just an upgrade you can get in the game, and even if it wasn't I'd still be waiting for the game to come out!
It's ok if you don't like shadow, that's fine, but don't announce to the whole world how bad a game is if you don't like and have never even played it yet!
**sigh** It's amazing how fast people can jump to conclusions. Just play the game and THEN you can decided whether it's good or not. I also saw how many times they said that he was dead and blah blah blah. This game could explain that and so much more about shadow that we don't even know yet, so don't bring death up as an excuse,it's hard to keep your own character dead in every single game that comes out anyway! I mean look at Aeris from FFVII! She's dead but keeps making cameos anyway O.o
Gahh sorry for the long rant but it just makes me so mad on how most people react to change in a video game and bash it without even seeing whether it really IS good or not.
Well onto teh comic now, I love Shadows expressions! and the panel where everyone's panic sayin Shadow killed Sonic while...he's still right there in the crowd...Priceless, lol. The last panel's funney too
